The Open NY Forum promotes local open government initiatives through workshops, education, and collaboration.
We are an informal group, and our events are produced by volunteers from the open government and civic technology communities in New York City and New York State. We’re always looking for help organizing new events and spreading the word.
The Open NY Forum was created as an offshoot of the grassroots Open Government NYC Meetup in an attempt to create a more inclusive environment for civic participation than those often associated with “government.” The organizing team includes Matt Cooperrider, Noel Hidalgo, Loe Klepner, Philip Ashlock, Jose Mejia, and others.
